pictures

Well, it has been a while since I posted pictures. We spent a week in Quartzite, AZ at the biggest flea market in the US. We were there looking for traveling kids...we found them. We went to a church that has a dinner every night and met a lot of people (some that had been to pancakes in the park here in SF). It was a great trip; we connected with new people and people we had already met. We're thinking of going again next year for a longer period of time. The boys loved camping and they ate a lot of dirt, as you can see on Weston's face!
We've had a busy week with new staff orientation. Two new people will be joining our team, one will live with us (his name is also Weston-what are the chances?!) and the other will live with Paul and Mariah.
They boys are growing like crazy...both very close to running. They say many words like "ball" (balls are their favorite toys at the moment), "tickle-tickle" they say this whenever they're shoes or shirts are off), and they are learning some sign language also which is nice because they can tell us if they're hungry or want more, etc... We just went to the doctor last week and Weston weighs 25lb. 15 oz. 31.5 inches tall and Jacob weighs 21lbs. 11oz. 30 inches tall. Both of their heads are in the 95%! They don't look that big, but I guess the charts know best? Big brains!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO BAKER CITY!

Grandpa Keith, Grandma Lynn and Aunt Kandice....we love you and miss you. Merry Christmas.

Sorry it has been such a long time since I've posted on here. We're back in San Francisco and pretty much all moved in. It is nice to be home. We put our Christmas tree up on Friday. I found a free fake tree, but it looks pretty nice. I think we'll buy a wreath to get the real tree feel. Here are some pictures of the boys on Halloween with Corrina (3 blind mice), climbing on furniture, in their bike trailer and our Christmas tree....

More cute boys

We're on our way home...finally. It has been almost three months since we've been in San Francisco and we're ready to be home. They boys are getting more active (as you can see in the video!) so it makes life a little harder to be on the road. I think we'll all be happy to be home. Jacob is walking a little bit, but he is still pretty happy to crawl. We should be back in SF on Thursday.

Walking!!!!

Weston took his first steps last Wednesday (of course it was for the cell phone) and yesterday he started walking across the room. It was pretty funny to see him walk over to Jacob and then they both started laughing. Jake hasn't taken any steps yet, but I think it will happen very soon. Here are two videos: His first steps and then him walking across the room (sorry it is sideways, I don't know how to change it). Weston has a hard time walking in a straight line...he was trying to walk to Luke but he ran into me instead.

We're one!

They boys turned one on the 15th (we were in Missoula). We started out the day by going to the carousel and the park then we went over to our friends house, played in the pool and then had dinner and cake. We all had a great time.Weston at the Carousel

update

We're in Missoula Montana. It is so beautiful to be surrounded by mountains again. The boys turn one tomorrow; I can't believe it. (I'll post pics of their birthday later this week). We've been traveling for a month and a half now. The boys are doing great. It has been a little tiring packing and unpacking the van, but everything has it place so it goes pretty fast. The boys are standing pretty well on their own, but no steps yet. They're playing really well together now to. It is fun to see them interacting so much.

We left San Francisco and jointed our team for a 4 day team retreat/re visioning. We made a lot of new plans for ministry in the Fall and had some great fun in the pool...of course the boys loved it.

Then we parted ways with the team an headed to Kalamath Falls where we stayed a few days in a friends cabin...it was a huge blessing to relax and have fun with the boys. We took them out in the marsh for a little canoe ride-Weston was more interested in the yellow cup than the ride.

After we left Kalamath Falls we headed to Bend to speak with a group about what we do in SF, saw an old friend from my childhood, and then went on to Portland to see Uncle Will. We went to the zoo which was a big hit. It is fun now that the boys are interested in thing like this. They get a little tired and bored, but overall they enjoyed it. They also got to see Grammy Burton who came to visit for a few days. She brought all kinds of fun toys, like this tunnel which they found to be an amazing thing....for a few minutes.

We left Portland and went to Cottage Grove, Or to speak at a church and then to Eugene to stay with some friends. Then we headed to Central Oregon, Christmas Valley (you can read more about it in our update email). It was EXTREMELY dusty. They boys did amazingly well with the hot days and cold nights.

After we left Christmas Valley we started our way up to Missoula. We stopped in Pendleton to see Great-grandma Burton and Uncle Tom then stayed with a friend in Dayton, WA who just got her Optometry Licence (so we got free eye exams!) and now we're in Missoula. We've been able to connect with a lot of friends. We're celebrating the boys one year birthday tomorrow...I think I'll make banana muffins??!!
